SAVE TAHOE BEACHES

Raising money to monitor and fight algal and bacterial blooms at Lake Tahoe

WHO WE ARE

We are a coalition of locals and Tahoe lovers devoted to saving Lake Tahoe's (formerly) beautiful beaches.

OUR MISSION

We are here to fight the fouling of our beaches by algae, bacteria and invasive plants. Our primary pursuit is the raising of funds and volunteer labor - the funds for tracking blooms, environmental testing and research into mitigation strategies, the labor for clean-up efforts.

CALL TO ACTION

We are at a critical moment in Tahoe's history. We must act immediately. Floating algae increased by 300% in 2020-21 alone.  Shoreline algae this year is the highest ever seen. We must come together to save one of the world's most beautiful scenic wonders.
